He's a rebel without a cause, and a very angry young man. Or am I the only one who gets the impression that Iorveth is very young for an Elf, in comparison to say Cedric who is ancient. Why did Cedric have to die? I liked him.
I also liked Cedric And I also think Iorveth is a young one, but not a young boy. I mean, he fights humans for over 100 years, but I guess he was about 30-50 (Scoia'tael starts their life-beging when they're young after all, it was mentioned in the book by Yarpen Zigrin) so he'd be about +/- 150 years - very young for an elf but also very mature and harsh one.
Yes, that's about the age I'd assumed for Iorveth, 150-200 years old. For an elf that would be like being 18-21. He's had to grow up quickly, but he harbours an awful lot of resentment. Cedric I think was pushing 1000 years. He would have a very different outlook.
"Cedric I think was pushing 1000 years". Definitely not. Sapkowski said, elves live about 300-400 years, sometimes EVEN 600. Cedric could about pushing 600 when he died, but also 500 or less. And we can't say 150-200 for elf is like 18-21 for human - remember that in that age they weren't able to breed anymore - I think they, when they're about 100-200 they just stop like: males being 30 years old and females about 20-25.
I'm afraid if I will join blue pants guys on my second walk-through angry Iorveth will hunt me in nightmares. Plus I like the fact that I gave him da punch in that matter in the end... And those lines of his, awesome, awesome. Well, not to spoil, not to spoil...
Beautiful. I´m no artist so I´m not able to appreciate your technique or shading, but it has very strong atmosphere and it´s a shame that in TW2 is not the same system of flashbacks as it was in TW1. This one would fit perfectly.
This is an old post, so forgive me if you've figured this out already. But if you decide not to give Iorveth his sword, Geralt will knock him out with a punch and he'll get captured by the Blue Stripes. You can still save him from the prison barge afterwards.
I don't actually know, i sided with Iorveth and led him to the ship myself. But apparently he gets captured? and escapes later? I just got so much out of watching him swear at Leto, that I decided to take it a bit further. I'm still waiting for those English translations of the books :/
Oh god, finish it! It's so worth it. Best game ever made.
It's so emotional, I've got the feeling that I will scream with Iorveth. Real spirit of Scoia'tael trying to fight until the end. Impressive shading, motion. Gosh, I've no words to describe it. Great job!
