The First Shot by Saint-Onge The First Shot by Saint-Onge
This was an illustration based on the lore surrounding the first cannon shot from the Americans at Yorktown, fired by Washington. It happened to enter the building where a few officers were sitting for dinner.

So sudden and dramatic, and dear God the details, single strands of hair, cuffs, wood splinters... If I ever end up writing something about the siege of Yorktown, it will be at least partly because of this illustration.

Really nice composition man. I would sharpen up where the cannonball hit a little more to help establish the focal point a little better. But thats just knit picking great job yo.
